New Minibus for Galway Hospice Patients
Earlier this year, Minister for Health, Simon Harris TD awarded a grant to Galway Hospice through the National Lottery Fund to enable the purchase of a 2017 Nissan Primaster Minibus. Not alone is the new Minibus adapted for wheelchair dependent patients but it is also equipped with full stretcher capabilities, enabling the transfer of patients from their homes to the hospice, to and from hospital appointments, as well as allowing the hospice to meet patients’ various requests, such as making a last visit home. Galway Hospice is very grateful for such support.

Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning – Celebrating 25 Years
This year marks the 25th year of Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which takes place on Thursday 14th September. The national fundraising campaign, in aid of local Hospices all over the country and sponsored by Bewley’s, was recently launched in Our Lady’s Hospice, Dublin by Mario Rosenstock and Keith Duffy. The well known celebrities launched the appeal asking people to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends or colleagues and raise much needed funds for local hospice services.
Bewley’s, Ireland’s leading coffee company, is the long standing supporter of Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning, providing complimentary Bewley’s fresh ground coffee packs, as well as promotional materials to all coffee morning hosts. Thank you to Bewley’s and to all of our hosts for supporting Galway Hospice services - 25 years making every cup count and every moment matter.
